MAY DAY RALLY
Monday 2nd May 2pm
Bexley Square, Salford
This year's May Day is also the 80th Anniversary of the famous battle of Bexley Square when the police brutally broke up a protest against government cuts outside the old Salford Town Hall.
With the ConDem government cuts repeating themselves it seems apt that this year's rally, called by Salford Against The Cuts, is happening in Bexley Square and everyone is urged to turn out and support it. Bernard Brough reports on the rally and the history.
