Happy Mondays reunion

Happy Mondays Reports the group's original line-up will be getting back together
after the original members were spotted leaving a meeting at Salfords Lowry hotel recently.

Drummer Gaz Whelan and bassist Paul Ryder both denied they would be involved, but the position now appears to have changed.

The Ryder brothers were spotted together with Gaz, backing singer Rowetta and dancer Bez

Shaun's manager, Warren Askew, later hinted they had discussed plans for a comeback.

Hopefully, an announcement will be made in due course,' he told the Manchester Evening News.

The band split in 1993 after their fourth album Yes Please! flopped, but reformed briefly in 1999 without guitarist Mark Day and keyboard player Paul Davies.

A second reunion followed in 2004, but Shaun, Gaz and Bez were the only three members of the original line-up to take part, although the exercise did result in a fifth Happy Mondays album, Uncle Dysfunktional.

If the band do get back together it is unlikely to be until the end of 2012 at the earliest.
