In Search of the Manchester Ship Canal is an event by New Manchester Walks to celebrate 125 years of the Manchester Ship Canal, one of the worlds greatest feats of engineering.
The organisers will tell you the whole story of the Manchester Ship Canal from its inception to its completion, and how it made Manchester one of the busiest ports in the world despite being 35 miles from the sea.
The event starts at 2.30pm on the 10th August 2019 at Beetham Tower Entrance, 301 Deansgate, Manchester, and finishes at 5pm. Ticket price is £10.50 per person.
